Autumn 2023 Concert | Carmina Burana

Join us at 4pm on Sunday, October 8th, for an afternoon of bombastic classical music, as The Hampton Singers unveil a spellbinding rendition of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana at the historic Fentham Hall in Hampton-in-Arden. This concert is enhanced by the youthful voices of the talented schoolchildren from George Fentham Endowed School, merging seamlessly with the accomplished Hampton Singers.

Delve into the cyclical nature of life, love, and fortune, as portrayed in the tales of the medieval goddess, Fortuna, spinning her Wheel of Fortune in Carmina Burana. This enthralling choral work, celebrated for its rhythmic intensity and raw emotional power, has been an audience favourite since its premiere. Featuring the virtuosic talents of Natasha Agarwal, Soprano, accompanied by the outstanding Sara Wilander and Melissa Morris on piano and a team of percussionists, the performance promises a richness of sound and depth of emotion, bringing out the nuances of Orff’s masterpiece.
